My name is Cooper, though my family usually calls me Goober…something about my eyes-who knows why those peeps say what they do! I am a six year flat-coated retriever who was diagnosed with histiocytic sarcoma a month ago. The vet believes it is localized, I had a lot of test done where they shaved my belly and put something cold on it; they also stuck me with lots of needles! This is a journal of my journey into the world of three legged dogs. I hope it helps others like me know what to expect during their own journey, though every dog and their journey is different!
I live in Central New York, which I love! I get lots of snow to play in during the winter, and in the summer we live on a lake where I can swim, catch crayfish, go on the boat and all sorts of fun things! I can’t wait til the doc says I can go swimming at the lake! I have a little sister name Bella who is really cute but not too smart about where to go the bathroom. My mom spoils her worse than me, which is saying a lot! I look forward to sharing my experiences with you!
